Energy Efficient HVAC Systems Designs

Meline Engineering’s primary product is construction drawings. It is best if our design team is involved early in the conceptual design stages of a project. We are able to provide input on and oversight of the owner’s HVAC system of choice to the architect or general contractor and make recommendations regarding building materials, methods, and constructability. Construction budget and schedule in addition to energy efficiency are always appropriately weighted in our design process.

Our team can provide as little or as much design assistance as needed. In some cases we provide project management services to guide the architect or general contractor in the integration of the mechanical and plumbing systems. For instance, for a large custom home we might coordinate the design and integration of the radiant floor distribution, domestic hot water, duct distribution and other peripheral systems such as pool/spa heating or wine storage.

If an owner is unsure of the type of HVAC system to install in their building or home, we can provide a feasibility study. A feasibility study gives the owner an idea of the range of alternatives and life cycle cost of each of the alternatives which should be considered based on their building usage, cost of power, and construction budget.
